Autumn Overwhelm

Autumn Overwhelm

Sometimes I come up with my own phrases. ??

Starting in late August, I was thrilled to move into?fall: ?to start experiencing some cooler temperatures and get back to my routines. ?

?Then, over the last few weeks, I started to feel anxious, uneasy, and?overwhelmed.? I started to wonder why...

I was looking forward to getting outside, but it was still too hot.?

I was looking forward to going back to some of my routines, but then I struggled fitting so much into a day. ?It was tedious and not as rewarding as I imagined. ?

I was excited about starting some new projects, but when I got into them... I realized I had to learn some new things that were time consuming and I over estimated how easy they would be. ?

So, I got to thinking, what is the name for this phenomena I'm experiencing?

So...I made up a phrase: ?"Autumn?Overwhelm."

?

If you are dealing with?Autumn?Overwhelm?too, here are some tips: ?

  1. Add blocks or longer blocks to your calendar for breaks to slow your schedule down.
  2. Forgive yourself and order out dinner or buy prepared meals a few more times to take some of the stress out of the evening routine.
  3. Add another walk, a short one, to clear your head and allow space to think about what's important.
  4. Leave some stuff undone and give yourself grace. You'll find the energy to do what's important when the timing is right.

Here's to hoping you move from?Autumn?Overwhelm?to?Autumn?Optimistic!
