After three years as Commercial Director for Alpro, where he consistently achieved double-digit growth, Adam Womersley ?struggled to find an opportunity that gave him the same sense of purpose. So, he decided to create one himself.

As a father of two, he was well aware of the lack of genuinely healthy drink?options for children. That’s where the idea for POTINA - Plant Based Nutrition came from. He made it his mission to create a clean-labelled kids’ drink that had no nasties, no empty calories, and would top up their fibre in a daily serve.

In conversation with our MD Chris D. , Adam?said:

“I’ve got young children and I didn’t know what to give them. So, I decided to create this plant-based drink based on what I’d learned from my time at Alpro and my experiences as a parent.

“It was a huge sacrifice to get going and commit myself to not turning back. But I went to Tesco and they loved the vision!

“Looking ahead, I’ve got some amazing innovation in the pipeline and there are some big announcements coming next year, so watch this space.” ?

Labour announced their first budget in 14 years last week – with a mixed reception from consumer product organisations.

While positive steps have been promised, there are also questions about how they will be effectively implemented. Plus, reforms in key areas including National Insurance, farming, booze and more have drawn criticism from major industry players:
