?? Autopilot Malfunnyfunction ??

Hi there!

In the morning, I drop my girls at their bus stop by going to the end of my road and turning right. Except yesterday.

As I left the house with them, I was thinking about my first trip back into London to meet a client, and feeling nervous.

You guessed it. I got past the end of my road, and then my daughter said, errr...Mum?

I’d turned left for London - the wrong way.

I’d lost focus because I was playing forward to the scary thing, taking me away from the moment I was actually in. My autopilot fired up because I felt anxious, then literally took me in the wrong direction.

How about you? When do you have those automatic moments where your brain takes over and makes you say or do unwanted things out of habit before you've even noticed?

Clients tell me it's situations like:

 ?? pricing / salary / budget conversations

?? dealing with someone who is angry or disappointed

?? rushing in to fix problems that aren't their responsibility.

You can build new automatic responses for when you're feeling nervous or pressured. For example:

I'll need to think about that.

No, that doesn't work for me.

What's important to me is......

Or even, not saying or doing anything at all.  ??

Then you'll be auto-piloting to the direction you actually want to be going.

See you soon,

Deana  ??

??  Fast Flow |   Set Your Autoresponder ??

Uncomfortable situations may cause you to respond to automatically in a way you don't really want:

?? Which situations send you into autopilot?

?? What is the automatic response you follow?

?? What is the cost to you of doing or saying that?

?? What could you adopt as a stock automatic phrase or action to use instead?

?? What would that give you?

Try it out, then keep at it until it becomes your new autoresponder.
