Intrinsic Motivation. It's IMPERATIVE for SUCCESS. Cognitive skill, conceptual thought, creativity and performance will thrive with Autonomy, Mastery and Purpose.  High performance won’t be achieved with a “sweeter carrot" or “sharper stick". Incentives are maximized when cognitive thought and focus are limited. Intrinsic motivation is maximized when we have Autonomy, when we aspire for Mastery and when we have Purpose.
