Autonomous Vehicle Sensors Conference Line-up
We are just a week away from AVSC at Sensor Expo, as the content chairperson, I am excited about the speaker line up for 2019.
The Keynote will be delivered by Amrit Sinha from Uber, who will set the stage of why there is a need for autonomous transportation. He will be followed by my Xilinx colleague Nick Ni who will share insights on AI gained from engagements both in Autonomous Driving and ADAS developments. Dimitrios Damianos - Yole Développement will provide the quantitative perspective, telling us what the numbers are saying as to market sizing and growth.
Following the break we will hear from a number of semiconductor companies both ADI and ON Semiconductor. Radhika Arora from ON Semiconductor will cover a wide range of sensing technologies using in camera, radar, and LiDAR systems and Tony Zarola from Analog Devices will highlight what is going on in inertia sensing, a technology that is often overshadowed by the other sensors. We will then hear from companies that create these sensing systems Calmcar's CTO Dr. Faroog Ibrahim will discuss Forward Looking Camera, and Uhunder's CEO, Manju Hegde will talk about 4D imaging radar. Following these presentations by a panel discussion: "Battle of the Senses"
We will then shift the focus from exterior sensing to interior sensing. Discussing the developments In-Cabin sensing which I highlighted in a previous post.
To close out the session we will hear from Ramin Shirani, the CEO of Ethernovia who will discuss one of the big challenges of Autonomous Vehicles - how to move big data through out the vehicle.
The conference will close on the 2nd day with the LiDAR face off which was already highlighted in a previous post.
This is a great opportunity to see and hear from several innovative start-ups that are aiming to standout in a crowded field.
If you are interested in Sensing technologies and what to learn how they will reshape the automotive market from ADAS to Autonomous this is the conference that will provide you those insights. You will hear from component suppliers, sensor builders, AI leaders, system integrators, IP providers, and network communicators. We will cover all the angles you need to hear from so you can understand the sensor technologies driving the automotive industry forward.
