In the new technology era, we hear a lot about Autonomous staff like Autonomous vehicles, Autonomous database and others. However, I think that we didn't hear a lot about autonomous cloud implementations
Imagine an ERP package that comes with a persona-based Digital Consultant. This is a machine bot equipped with voice understanding similar to Siri or Alexa that can do quick interviews with the different personas in the organization to make decisions about the critical configuration parameters and execute the implementation activities autonomously!
Let’s take the example of financials ERP project. When the Cloud environment is provisioned, all what it takes the customer is to enable this Digital Consultant to start the implementation
This consultant will start interesting interviews with the different Finance Management resources based on the different personas to get information around Chart of Accounts (CoA) structure, Accounting method, receivables handling, payables handling, cash reconciliations and other related topics.
Accordingly, this Digital Consultant will update the configuration workbooks/templates and will run a background program to populate the configuration parameters to the test environment. Furthermore, it will generate the initial project plan (with the project timelines), setup documents, testing scenarios and training manuals
Connected to re-usable assets of training videos based on different configurations and industries scenarios, the Digital Consultant will generate and send video links to the different users emails requesting them to attend the first product demonstration videos
With the same logic of the initial interviews, the Digital Consultant will gather Key Users feedback on the potential gaps, run another background program to populate the test environment with configuration changes and update the setup documents, testing scenarios and training manuals accordingly. It will also regenerate new product demonstration videos reflecting the updated system behavior. Same approach can be used to generate the data gathering templates, data upload, confirm users satisfactions, production configuration and make the system go-live decision
This model can best fit organizations with high appetite to adopt the out of the box Cloud functionality. This will also have a great impact on reducing the ERP TCO and time to value for the Cloud investment
Finally, I know that this touches the surface of a more complicated subject and in many cases it’s not as easy as it was described. However, I believe this could be the next evolution of Cloud implementations and consultancy firms should be ready to provide more intelligent and competitive services to survive in the age of digital disruption

5 年Very inspiring, assuming that this Digital assistance consultant will do the 80% of the job at optimum with a provided best practice questionnaire, checklist and a lot of learning experience, we still need the human intervention for the last touchs and calibration. #AI #Machine Learning
