Autonomous business application development with dynamic & self healing processes
Over three decades ago, as part of my research, I worked on an expert system that enabled a mechanical device to realign its functioning based on certain external factors. These were the early days of adopting concepts like neural networks and expert system platforms such as CLIPS, on which the device was developed.
Fast forward to today, AI has proven to transform almost every field, from farming to space travel, and the way we build our business applications.
My first venture, started in 1998, aimed to build a no-code platform to simplify the development of complex, enterprise-class business applications. Though it was very early for the market, we succeeded in developing and enabling its adoption by dozens of leading global enterprises across diverse domains, resulting in the creation of hundreds of highly complex applications.
We have come a long way since then. Like many things becoming autonomous, the future of enterprise applications lies in a generative and adaptive space, with systems and processes becoming truly intelligent while autonomously discovering, defining, and refining themselves.
My experience in the developer tools market led to the idea of the no-code platform we built at AppPoint. SnapApps.AI is my experimental effort to map out the future of the no-code space and how we could manage our business leveraging AI. After spending over a decade evangelizing and demonstrating the benefits of the no-code approach, I had to shift gears a bit. The change in the landscape has been overwhelming in terms of the possibilities it offers, addressing many of the problems we have heard from our customers over the last decade.
At this point, I am confident that very soon we will have platforms that can understand your business vision, goals, capabilities, and gaps. These platforms will continuously identify and orchestrate processes or realign existing ones in response to internal and external factors.

Backed by over a decade of exposure to business processes of varying complexities across domains, including comprehensive ones like FDA or HIPAA-compliant processes, SnapApps.AI adopts a multi-model RAG architecture, demonstrating a conversational approach to developing business applications. These applications leverage an orchestration infrastructure that enables continuous process refinement and healing.
I foresee a near term where enterprises will establish similar infrastructure as an integral part of their capability. It's just a question of who will lead and how soon.
If you want to satisfy your curiosity, go ahead and sign up to experience the magic. Just be aware that I am a lone warrior on this project, so please be kind if you find the experience poor or buggy ;-). While you're at it, you can try SnapFit, a pilot app built on the SnapApps.AI platform, offering personalized diet and fitness recommendations while leveraging an autonomous approach to improve engagement and recommendations.
