OK - if you’ve ever heard me before, you know what I always say - you are already whole; you are already in complete connection with the universe. Right? But we all need some reminders, some help to recognize that joyful connection. And here they are - your very own Autonomic Awakening Agencies - at the ready - your own GPS, your Beauty Delivery System - your way to get to a deeper version of your life.
1. Dreams
They come to us all on their own for the most part. They bubble up from our subconscious with metaphors, similes, messages to help us become more aware of our deeper selves. Write them down, paint their images, do whatever you can to acknowledge this deep source of awareness.
2. Feelings
They come in all flavours, all intensities. And they can tell us a lot about what’s really going on with us. Why that sudden anger? Where did that sadness or excitement come from? Why do I feel isolated or alone? Your feelings can be an important road map to your deeper self.
3. Symptoms
Sore throat? Nervous tic? Sprained ankle? What is my body telling me now? Sometimes our bodies have to yell pretty loud to get us to pay attention. Our bodies want to move us into alignment, into health, so they will give us these clues. Headache? Maybe we’re thinking too much - trying to solve everything through our heads. Pay attention to symptoms - they can speak volumes.
4. Meanings
A piece of music may suddenly say something. A painting or sculpture may elicit a deep feeling. We may experience meaning from a film or a scene we witness in the park or on a bus. These meanings are unique to each of us. They may be bringing some wisdom.
5. Energies
You know the feeling - suddenly you have a sense or an intuition about a person or a place. You may feel drawn in or repelled. There are energies all around us and tuning in to them can be powerful guides to aligning to our authentic Self.
6. Nature
We are so lucky to live so close to nature. In mere moments we can be walking amongst tress or by the ocean. We can breathe in their presence and feel our deep connection with all that is.
7. Hut Practice - Meditation
I offer this every weekday morning and of course you can do this at any time. Take those precious moments to experience your deep Self and rest in Natural Great Peace. It is always there for us - we just have to turn our attention to its abundance.
