Not Automating Your Processes Is The Worst Thing You Can Do. Here's Why.

Whenever I tell business leaders that automation can help them prosper, they tell me it goes against their principles of social responsibility.??

Or that it dehumanizes work, or worse, that it reduces employment.??

So, they do nothing.??

They bury their heads in the sand.

Whether we like it or not, AI is here, and so is automation.

Blaming AI for all the problems is easy.??

And doing nothing is suicidal.

When deployed correctly, automation can be a powerful lever for businesses, including those committed to social responsibility. Or those pretending to be.

How?

Let’s take a concrete example. Imagine a system that not only generates leads but also converts them into loyal customers, all while guaranteeing personalized follow-up. All of this automatically, 24/7.

Now, imagine your business without such a system.

Without exaggerating, you risk quickly falling behind and losing competitiveness and efficiency.?

I wouldn’t bet much on your future.

And since we're talking about staff, what do you think they would prefer to do? Keep handling repetitive, unfulfilling tasks or focus more on customer service or prospecting???

What about you? Would you want to work for a company that cares about its future, or one that threatens it by clinging to outdated management principles?

Automation should not be seen as a substitute for work, but as a complement that enhances it.??

It all depends on how you use it.??

And let’s not confuse job loss with job replacement. If your task can be done by a bot, that doesn’t stop you from acquiring the skills to take on a more rewarding role within the company.??

Sure, you’ll need to adapt. Nothing comes for free.??

It’s all a matter of choice.??

You can either keep doing the same thing and risk being laid off sooner or later, or you can adapt.

I truly believe that technology can and should be used to create a positive impact. I also believe it’s possible to reconcile efficiency and ethics, provided you make the right technology choices and implement them with a human-centered mindset.

Automation isn’t just about saving time or money; it should also be seen as an opportunity to strengthen the company’s values and for the staff to acquire new skills.

Like in any technological revolution, you must adapt by learning how to use it.

It requires effort and pragmatism.??

Darwin spoke of the survival of the fittest. Today we are in the era of "survival of the smartest".

In addition to writing on LinkedIn and other media, I help businesses streamline their processes and gain efficiency. You can find me on Medium, and see what I’m up to here. Feel free to contact me ([email protected]). I'll be happy to help!
