Automatic Customer/Vendor Clearing With Bank Statement

1. Bank Statement Upload

One of the difficult task in any Finance System is the bank Clearing. Mostly for large and global companies with many bank transactions vendors and customers. The bank statement upload is the first step for posting and clearing. Via bank statement in SAP we can make automatic clearing for GL with various rules, standards and with developments.

For customers and vendors we can also run automatic posting at this step for wire payments.

2. Credit Management

We want to manage our Customer Credit on-line as possible. We need to release blocked customer immediately after incoming payment transfer.

Take for example a case when the sales department want to issue customer order but there is no credit. The user gets an error. They check and find out that the customer paid but there is no posting in the customer account so the credit is not updated.

We can make automatic posting for the customer in order to prevent such case.

3. Customer / Vendor Automatic Posting & Clearing

We have several bank statements formats and banks can work differently. There are banks or formats that can give us more information regarding the bank transaction. The customer who pays can also deliver additional data.

There are countries where we can get invoices data for the clearing process.

By having customer data we can do the automatic posting and clearing via the bank statement.

4. Implementation with SAP

We can do this with standard process, tools or developments. But we can do it mainly with standard SAP tools and let the user manage it.
