The entrance lane for public lot #10 at Loyola University’s Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois, is shown above. WPS furnished the barrier gate and related equipment as part of an extensive PARCS (Parking Access and Revenue Control System) on the campus.

Note the LED display panel which shows easy instructions on the entry terminal at the lower left in the photo above. The terminal produces a parking ticket that is stamped with the time and date of entry.

Once the ticket is removed the barrier gate opens. It lowers after the vehicle passes over a vehicle detector loop buried in the pavement. The sensitive equipment is protected from accidental damage from a low speed collision by two yellow bollards.

The barrier gate and exit terminal for Lot #10 are shown to the left. A screen lights up with instructions for the driver. Then a special pass or a satisfied ticket may be inserted for immediate egress.

Or if an open parking ticket is inserted any validations or credits are automatically applied. Credit cards may then be used to pay any remaining balance. Once satisfied, the barrier gate opens and the vehicle may exit.

Intercoms may be used to talk to the main parking office.
