Automated Decision Making

Both the GDPR and the AIA (despite being primarily a set of rules about product safety) give individuals rights when decisions about them are taken by, or involve, computer systems. For a comparison of the two approaches, see the table below.

Note that the GDPR will always apply where individuals are involved. The AIA will only apply if a High Risk AI System is involved.
