Automata partners with The Royal Marsden
Hello readers ??
We're thrilled to start this edition of Automata News by announcing our latest partnership, with The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust . Together we're scaling their cancer testing capabilities to make diagnosis and treatment faster for patients.
This week you'll find us at AACC's Clinical Lab Expo, #2023AACC, in Anaheim, California. For those attending, we're at Stand 1082, and you can book a meeting with the team here ????
Keep reading to see what else Automata have been up to over the last two months, including free webinars, lab meet-ups, and partnerships.
All the best,

Automata x The Royal Marsden
Our partnership with The Royal Marsden
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is at the forefront of cancer screening and already carries out next-generation sequencing to test for cancer.
With Automata, The Royal Marsden will be able to increase the scale of cancer sample testing by 2,000 tests per month and power a new screening service to identify patients at risk of cancer-based on inherited genetic mutations.
Lab Lives: Beyond the Benchtop
As an R&D Scientist, Alice Tome-Fernandez was no stranger to life in the lab. Now she's at Automata as a Senior Applications Scientist she's helping to actualise the automation dreams she once had.
In the second minisode of 'Lab Lives: Beyond the Benchtop', Alice talks about her lifelong love of biomedical science, how treatment for diabetes has changed in her lifetime, and how lab automation can sometimes feel like ‘babysitting robots'.

Lab Legends meet-up in London
Earlier this month - alongside Bits in Bio - we hosted the first monthly pub meet-up for lab folk interested in the intersection of software and science.
We created this event with the aim to create a thriving community of lab technicians, managers, engineers and scientists. One that empowers knowledge sharing and grows our collective understanding of the human experiences happening every day in life sciences laboratories.
