Autodesk University 2022: Your take on Community meetups?

Community meetups at Autodesk University are unlike any other session.

?Meetups are not classes; rather, they are a way to engage with like-minded people in a more social setting. Think of classes as "formal learning" and meetups as "casual community gatherings."

Meetups aren't run by Autodesk - they are run by you, and for you. As a way of connecting with each other as a community at AU, around industry topics that effect us all.

Meetups are an oppurtunity for you to connect with the great hive mind that comes together each year at AU, and ask questions that aren't about Autodesk products!

With that in mind - what kind of meetup would you like to join at #AU2022 ? What's on your mind outside of your CAD tools? The great resignation? Supply chain woes? Hybrid working? Perhaps you want to know the best paces for Cajun food and Jazz ;)

What are you missing out on, that you'd like discuss with your peers and Industry leaders at Autodesk university?

Have ou attended a meetup at Autodesk University in the past? What did you make of it? Do you have any feedback that could make future meetups better?

Please leave your questions, comments or ideas below ??

Thank you,

Paul

I have met many people through meetups at AU that have had a lasting effect on my career and my view of how amazing our company is, and of course also how awesome the customers are which we serve.

A meetup of the people who work in the design field (a round table is an excellent idea) would be good to let everyone share their issues and concerns overall. Perhaps a session to allow attendees to meet people with long term industry experience and ask their questions. We had a session similar with the CAD managers at previous AU's, it was very informative. As the CAD manager session was done, a moderator fielded questions from the audience and presented them to the panel. This seemed to work out very well.

At the last AU I attended a couple of meetups. This year, I will be attending as an Expert Elite. I am really looking forward to the EE meetup, and also the community voices meetup (they may be combined??). The meetups for special groups are one of the more memorable things about AU to me.
