If you are the parent or professional working with AUTISM help is here NOW!

Recognizing and understanding emotions in themselves and in others is so very important. You know this!

Autistic children often find it hard to: recognize emotions, facial expressions and other emotional cues like tone of voice and body language. show and manage their own emotions. understand and respond to other people's emotions – they might lack, or seem to lack, empathy with others.

Empathy is the ability to share and understand another person’s feelings.

Communication difficulties. Autistic people can find it difficult to express their wants and needs, from a non-verbal child struggling to express their need for a drink to a teenager finding it hard to express their emotions. This can result in overwhelming feelings, such as anger and frustration, leading to a meltdown.

An autistic person needs to find ways to understand and express their emotions appropriately before they get overwhelmed, and find ways to make your own communication more easily understandable. Autistic people may find verbal communication difficult due to misunderstanding body language, tone of voice, irony and sarcasm.

SO the top 5 reasons to explore Emotiplay:

1. No more meltdowns. So your child can communicate his/her feelings to you so they don’t have emotional breakdowns.

2. Less anger and abuse because of the increased ability to communicate by reading emotions of themselves and of others.

3. Will improve the social skills and self esteem of those with autism by making them more self assured in their relationships with others.

4. Will improve the relationships of peers and family members as those with autism will become more relatable with others as they will learn how to read emotions more effectively.

5. Instead of rocking, flapping or exhibiting different behaviors they may learn from this program to communicate with words or at least respond more appropriately.
