Authors and Organizers: Guidelines for Stefan Lindegaard & Friends
Stefan Lindegaard
I help sharpen your leadership approach, build high-performance teams and enhance corporate innovation through new, original tools like Team Dynamics Cards and the Gap Map Overview.
It has been great to see the response to my call for authors and organizers who want to work with me on blog posts, white paper, books and events on corporate transformation and innovation.
Given the overwhelming – and continuing – response, I wanted to put down some “guidelines” on how we can work together in order to manage our mutual expectations. See below, but please note that this is work in progress and the intention is to keep it informal and experimental.
The big idea:
I will organize and facilitate a community or networked business structure for authors and organizers in which we publish content (blog posts, white papers and books) and organize events, sessions and conferences on the topics of corporate transformation and innovation management.
My role: I will lead our efforts by recruiting the right people, steer the overall editorial direction of our efforts and help develop our events and activities.
My contribution: I will share all of my content and frameworks and let you build further on this as long as due credit is given. I will put my global network into play. I will be available for talks and sessions at discounted rates or even free of charge at your local events.
Your role: Be active in our community either with content as an author, contributor, editor, graphic developer and “publisher” or with events as an organizer. Help develop our vision and help spread the word.
The content we produce:
Our content focus is two-fold:
- Corporate transformation based on leadership, the work force and organizational structures.
- Innovation management (and in particular open innovation).
We publish content in three ways:
- Blog posts to be published on LinkedIn. When we co-author a blog post, each author publishes the post in their own name and makes a link and reference to the others.
- White papers – 6-12 pages in which we go in-depth with a topic. A white paper is based on a series of blog posts. I will be the lead author on a white paper and I assume to have 2-3 co-authors, who will be given given name credit on the front page. Smaller contributions will be acknowledged in the white paper. I am also open for letting you use my current and future content to develop your own white papers as long as due credit is given.
- Books – I aim to publish at least one book per year (150 – 200 pages). A book is based on a series of white papers. The books will be authored by Stefan Lindegaard & Friends. If one or more co-authors contributes significantly to a book they will also get their name on the cover. All contributors will be acknowledged for their efforts in the book. Whether we work with established publishers or self-publish our own books is to be decided. On books, we also have a need for editors and graphic developers.
How we develop content:
I will share my ideas for main topics within corporate transformation and innovation management on a frequent basis and ask for your contribution as a co-author, contributor or editor. This happens through my LinkedIn platform so stay tuned here. I will also set up a LinkedIn group so that we can all see who is involved in our efforts.
I imagine that we will have on-going work on 2-4 white papers at any time. I am of course open for your ideas on topics that we should look into.
How we promote and share our content:
Everyone involved in our efforts will be alerted when we have a new blog post, white paper or book to share with the world. It would be great if you can use your network and social media platforms to promote and share our work.
Events:I am looking for corporate people or network organizers who want to organize a series of sessions in your city or region. You can get an idea in this post: How to Train Executives (and Employees) on Corporate Transformation and Innovation
Money?:
I do not expect any of us to make money on this so there are no fees or payment to be offered for your involvement. What I can offer is a platform in which you can share your perspectives and gain recognition as a person who knows about corporate transformation and innovation management.
Some business opportunities might develop as we experiment our way forward. We will discuss this as we go along. I am open for your ideas in this context.

8 年Hi Stefan, sounds like a good setup. Regarding the "Books", can you give an example of what constitutes "significant contribution" as in "If one or more co-authors contributes significantly to a book they will also get their name on the cover. "
