The Author of Clarity or Confusion?
Who is your favorite author? We all have one or several whom we enjoy. Good authors can write in such a way that we easily resonate with their words and perhaps, even mold our way of thinking and behaving around what they are communicating to us. Good authors know how to influence their readers. Did you know that as a man of God, two authors are trying to influence your way of thinking and behaving right here, right now? They are the author of clarity and confusion. God is the author of clarity (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:160, John 17:17, Psalm 119:151), and the devil is the author of confusion (John 8:44, 1 Corinthians 14:33, 2 Corinthians 4:4).?
God gives you His Word to guide you.?God's Word brings peace.?God's Word brings comfort.?God's Word brings joy.?God's Word is clear.?God's Word is light.?God's Word is perfect.?God's Word is love.?God's Word is truth.?And God's Word is for you.?
Yet, the devil wants to sow. The devil wants to sow doubt.?The devil wants to sow chaos. The devil wants to sow distrust.?The devil wants to sow lies.?The devil wants to sow the seeds that lead to withdrawal from God's presence, peace, and place in your life by getting you confused about God's Word, ways, will, and promises.
As a man of God, you must choose which author you will allow influencing your thinking and behavior. When we face doubts, trials, problems, stress, relationship problems, marital issues, sexual temptation, whatever it may be - which author will you seek out? Today, you can choose to listen to the author of clarity or confusion. But really, is the choice all that hard?
