Authenticity in style
Here’s something close to my heart :
Being vulnerable and yet embodying “less is more”.
For Those who followed me from 7 years ago , you knew my style . It is still the same , just a little more refined along the edges .
I was and am still open about my life and the struggles , breakthrough therein.
Perhaps society has evolved to be more kind and gracious. In the past I do receive remarks of that I was too open or the “hanging dirty linen “ thing. Today , when done wisely , vulnerability is appreciated and can be a rallying tool for a positive cause. I like to call it the hero/heroine journey whereby the hero or heroine has struggles , and he/she overcomes it , or is overcoming it , or has overcome some of it . This lifts up the spirit of others who may have the same issues of life or perhaps other issue to have the resolve to fight the fires of life . The challenge is to say the story in a more succinct way .
To my friends , colleagues and even clients , thank you for your love , patience and understanding . There were many times I reflected and caught myself talking or writing too much. I can talk for 2-3 hours non stop and more and so I had to check myself to cut the convo short and instead deliberately choose to listen more , and summarise or have the powerful clause drops of nuggets instead .
I do believe the gamut of emotional stories or rambles do have their place still , to the right people perhaps and so I learn and adapt more . And the Pareto principle of less is more , to have scalable , exponential achievements with lesser input to maximise one’s potential which I will share more next.
