Nostalgia and Storytelling have been fashionable long before they started "trending".

We'll let you in on a little secret. We're a bunch of nerds over here in Yura Agency. As we collectively contemplate our cocktails and celebration choices for welcoming in 2024, we are actually still always getting ready to start (re) learning something. Time to learn :)

  • You believe in what you do—but you don’t need to hear that from us.
  • The people around you, however, really, really do need to hear about it.

Rock your own story.

You have an interesting reason to be in the business you’re into. You know the reason, and you don’t need us to preach at you about knowing your own story.

If you’re anything like us, though, you might need us to encourage you to believe it’s cool to shout about your story from the village shouting spot.

A lot of us fall into the trap of believing people will find our story boring. We’ve lived with our own story so long, seen it evolve so incrementally, that we believe it’s not only common, mundane, it’s also boring.

Even if that’s true (it never is), it’s almost always exciting to someone out there. When it’s not exciting, it’s relatable. Usually, though, it’s both at the same time. People like your story, because either they haven’t heard anything like it before (that’s a win), or they’ve lived through something like it and they’ll love you for justifying their experiences. You win then, too.

You don’t need us to tell you to your story.

You might need us to encourage you to tell your story out loud to everyone else. Because...

People love taking part in stories.

Your excitement agitates people around you and moves them to action. And if your excitement doesn’t excite them, then maybe you don’t have the right partners.

Get the right partners. The supernova rumbling of your values-based marketing efforts starts with you, and it rumbles through your team, and through your team it shakes your allies.We talk about allies
