Authenticity in action: NativeAudio founder shares his story

Today, I participated in a fantastic event hosted by the CareSource Employee Resource Group the Network of Indigenous/Native Americans (NINA) featuring Mike Trombley, the founder of NativeAudio.

NativeAudio is a Native-owned effect pedal company founded by Mike Trombley, an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Nation with over a decade of engineering experience. NativeAudio is committed to Keeping Native American culture alive while also inspiring musicians to connect with their art in a more meaningful and creative way.

It was amazing to hear Mike's journey from the Blackfeet Reservation to creating such a unique company. Mike's personal story wove seamlessly together with the story of how he developed his company. Even down to the logo!?

“I believe we’re here to share a story with musicians. A story that keeps our Native American culture alive while also inspiring musicians to connect with their art in a more meaningful and creative way.”

- Mike Trombley, Founder

Listening to Mike emphasized for me the importance of not just respecting but celebrating cultural heritage. NINA's mission to create a space for Indigenous and Native American culture is so important, and events like these really drive that mission home.

Mike's authenticity was refreshing. It reminded me that being genuine and true to yourself is key in public relations – people can sense when you're being authentic, and that's what builds trust and connection.

I also appreciated how Mike highlighted the importance of inclusivity and representation in his work. It's something that I'm eager to incorporate more into my own projects, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued.

Overall, this event was not only insightful but also a great reminder of the power of storytelling and the importance of cultural competency in our work as public relations professionals. Huge thanks to NINA for organizing such a meaningful event, and I'm looking forward to more opportunities to learn and grow with this amazing community. #CareSourceEmployee
