AUTHENTIC
Lian Brook-Tyler
Soul Purpose Guide & Shamanic Healer for Leaders & Visionaries
This is one of the words people use most about me.
The other words that come up all the time are these (often these very words or synonyms of them):
That’s quite a lot to be authentic about.
It’s taken me a lifetime to reclaim those parts of me. To be unashamedly authentically joyful, magical, loving, precise, deep, majestic, playful, powerful, radiant, wise, soft, and divine.
It felt a lot to reclaim, a lot to be.
Too much.
Especially the parts of me that seem like they existed on opposite cliffs across a vast chasm.
Too silly, laughing too much.
Too smart, thinking too much.
Too real, speaking truth too much.
Too spiritual, bypassing too much.
Like Walt Whitman: I contain multitudes. And most of those multitudes are contradictions and paradoxes.
I find the same is true for all magical people… aka the people who are here to be change-workers, creators, heart-centred leaders, coaches, healers and guides… and specifically the ones who are ready, if still a bit or a lot scared, to embrace the mythical, soulful, spiritual and magical, and every last part of themselves, especially the parts hidden deep down in dark, shameful wounds.
Some of the words used to describe them will be different to mine, and whilst they’re still armoured and at war, they likely will have been described as at least some of these words:

(Almost all of these were once applied to me too.)
(*Especially this one. **And this. ***Definitely this.)
I’m here to tell you, the time has come for magical ones.
You’re not broken, you’re not wrong, you’re not awkward, you’re not weird (well, maybe you are but in the most wonderful way).
You’re here to midwife in the new, to be the channel for Spirit for those who are waiting for a guide through the rebirth canal.
You’re here to be the bridge, to be the steadying hand and shining heart for those who are ready to cross.
You’re here to take the reins, to ride the white horse through treacherous terrain, beckoning folk to claim their crowns and reign as true sovereign adults.
Beginning with yourself.
And it takes a multitudinous, contradictory, paradoxical magical one to do that.
If you’re ready, come join us… Medicine ‘23 has just opened.
It’s a year-long journey of reclaiming yourself from shadow to do your deepest soul work in the world… To be authentically you.
Your kin await.
My love and blessings as you unfold your own myth.
* Photo: Me on a train en route to London last year… no filter, but more importantly, no mask. I mention this because whenever I board a train, I recall my corporate days commuting into the city, back when I didn’t know I was neurodivergent, let alone autistic, let alone magical. I just knew I wasn’t living the right life for me, not even the version of me squished tightly into a suited and booted box.
