Here's the breakdown of the eight work packages awarded:

  1. Project Control Services (costs, schedule, and risk): KPMG
  2. Economics, Funding and Financing, Demand Modelling, and Economic Development Strategy: 安永
  3. Commercial, Delivery Strategy, and Industry Engagement: 安永
  4. Transport, Land Use, and Property: WSP
  5. Technical Advisory, Environment and Sustainability, Community, and Stakeholder Engagement: WSP and Arcadis
  6. High-Speed Rail Network Operations Planning: 奥雅纳

The business case is on track to be presented to the federal government by the end of the year. With $52 million allocated for this development out of a total of $330 million for Australia's high-speed network planning, things are heating up!

The planned Sydney - Newcastle high-speed line will feature speeds over 250km/h and will run on a dedicated route between the two cities. Future expansions to Brisbane and Melbourne are also in the cards.

This is a significant step for Australia's busiest inter-city rail corridor, used by 14.9 million passengers each year. Stay tuned for more updates!
