Australia's Best Drives launches today

Australia’s Best Drives presented by Audi, launches today, Nov 18, on Channel 7 at 1730.

There’s no better place than Australia to enjoy a driving holiday and to celebrate, Audi Australia have produced a stunning new television series called Australia’s Best Drives.

The series, which runs for six weeks, showcases a range of gorgeous Audi vehicles being enjoyed on six of the best road trips in the country.

The program is hosted by travel presenter Shane Jolley, who along with a team of Audi ambassadors including iconic designer Collette Dinnigan, surfboard designer Hayden Cox, former Top Gear Australia presenter Steve Pizzati and channel 7 presenter Mel Doyle, uncovers and enjoys the premium Aussie road trip experiences that only the locals know about.

 Episode 1: Busselton to Cape Leeuwin via Margaret River

The 30-day shoot for the series started in Western Australia in Busselton, gateway to the Margaret River region which is world-famous for wine, food and pristine natural environments featuring Karri pine forests, caves, whale migration and the picturesque Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse.

This drive was enjoyed over 5 days in the stunning new Audi A5 coupe. Cast and crew followed the scenic Caves Road and along the way stopped in Busselton, Dunsborough, Yallingup, Margaret River, Boranup, Hamelin Bay and Augusta.

Along the way Shane stops off in the gorgeous Leeuwin Estate winery to meet award-winning chef Guillaume Brahimi who rustles up a fabulous dish of roasted marron, cauliflower puree, capers and finger lime beurre noisette.
