As Yorkshire CCC look to add a third County Championship in three years (only the Yorkshire team of the 1960's has ever managed this previously) there is understandable interest in why they are being so successful. And one of the key findings? Head coach Jason Gillespie is Australian!

“Australians are so beneficial for Yorkshiremen,” says David Hopps, a veteran reporter who had his first run-in with Boycott in 1984. “They share our straight-talking instincts but they’re more upbeat, where we can be drawn towards the slough of despond.”
