Australian Mining Industry Begins Slow Recovery

The Australian mining industry is slowly beginning to feel more optimistic, as more top executives see a shift in sentiment and begin to believe the worst is over.

Many companies in the Australian mining industry are preparing to once again invest after 2 years of lay-offs and capital freezes.

Newport Consulting’s annual Mining Business Outlook Report is a survey of 50 leading executives in the mining industry, and the results are showing that mining confidence has seen a dramatic jump, and 43% of respondents said they were optimistic about the next year’s outlook, compared to just 15% this time last year.
