Almex Perth has installed and commissioned a new Enduro 4000 x 2000 CNC Machine at their Cannington branch. This state-of-the-art Australian built CNC Machine will allow the Perth operation to manufacture here in Australia for the first time in Almex Group’s 60-year journey.

With a key focus on reducing lead times on manufactured products, such as SSP MAX, spot presses, SVP presses and bars, control boxes and many other products in the Almex Group catalogue, the Perth Team are very excited about this next stage of the Almex journey.

“This is the first of 4 key machines to be installed at the Cannington site to kick off stage one of our Australian manufacturing project. The plan is an aggressive one, but well planned so we can manufacture products while initiating each of the other stages, stage one will see us being able to manufacture, Control Boxes built to Australian Standards to run our Vulcanising equipment, the full range of SSP-Max spot presses, SVP sectional presses, pressure bars, belt clamps and Engineered and Certified Splice Tables to name a few.”

We will produce all these products while setting up stage 2 of the manufacturing project, which will ensure that we don’t lose any momentum between each stage of the project.

Our CNC machine operator worked hand in hand with the Perth based machine designer and manufacturer to ensure we had the very best on the market, backed up with local support and the latest Intelligent software installed in the CNC”.

“Another lane of stage 1 of the project was to set up an electrical assembly room designed for the manufacture of our vulcaniser control boxes also at the Cannington site. ?This electrical room will be expanded as part of a later stage to allow for the manufacture of other control and monitoring products. It will also serve as a wing of our electrical R & D department headed up out of the USA”.
