Australian family owned business - creating bright futures for students, staff and schools
Campion Education, has been named as the only Australian finalist in their category at the 2024 international EdTech Cool Tool Awards for its innovative MyConnect2 textbook and digital resource platform.
Nominated in the ‘Product or Service’ category, MyConnect2 is an end-to-end digital ecosystem that provides students and teachers with secure, cloud-based access to educational resources, enhancing classroom collaboration while helping educators avoid the administrative burden of managing multiple logins and passwords.
“Educators and students all over Australia value MyConnect2 for its ability to make the teaching and learning experience easier than ever, whether it’s by seamlessly integrating Learning Management Systems or facilitating greater collaboration between students and teachers,” said Carlo Ruiz-Matthyssen, General Manager of eLearning, Sales and IT at Campion Education.
“Being the only Australian business to achieve a finalist position for an Australian-originated and built EdTech service highlights just how ground-breaking MyConnect2 and the Campion digital ecosystem is.”
Campion Education developed MyConnect2 in 2022 after identifying a need for a secure digital ecosystem that allows schools to embrace the benefits of digital resources without taking on the administrative load associated with user logins and reporting.
Mitchel Berryman, ICT Technician at Nazareth College in Melbourne, said integrating MyConnect2 has enhanced student learning and engagement.
“Our approach to technology at the school is to allow students to be ready to learn. In order for us to facilitate that, we need students to not have any barriers to access. And Campion’s MyConnect2 is absolutely phenomenal in creating access for students,” said Mr Berryman.

“It allows students to interact on their devices rather than just read, so students get a hands-on experience with their textbooks and that provides a much better outcome. When you incorporate those interactive elements into the textbooks it provides a superior learning experience. Teachers find it easy to use and can easily access what they need and distribute the content in the way they see fit in their classrooms.”
With close to half a million users nationwide, Steve Wiggs, ICT Manager, Kingswood College, said the platform is a huge time saver.
“We used to spend hours at the beginning of the year contacting publishers on behalf of students saying the student doesn’t have this book, can you please check, they can’t get into this or they can’t get into that.
“That’s gone away. ...it’s been much easier to manage. We haven’t had to contact any of the publishers. We don’t have to tell students here are your login details - it’s set up with SSO so they just click on a link on our Learning Management System and it automatically logs them in and all their books are there on the dashboard!”
