The Australia-India relationship has a great future
Australia India Chamber of Commerce (AICC)
Supporting our members - growing and strengthening the bilateral Australia India relationship.
Opening Remarks by AICC Chair, Chris Mooney
AICC National Conference, 26&27 June 2023, Perth, Australia
?
We are all here because we share a commonality of interest – the advancement of closer ties between Australia and India.
?Today we will be hearing a few case studies and from thought leaders and tomorrow we will be focusing on seven key areas:
?The commonality of interest spans across Education, Government and Business.
?Our role as the Australia India Chamber of Commerce is to facilitate connectivity, to promote bilateral investment, development and growth through trade.
?We can only achieve this through the engagement and resources of Government and our members.
?MinterEllison and Monash University recently released a white paper on Critical Minerals – the AICC especially thanks David Morfesi and Estelle Scanlan from MinterEllison, Professor Mohan Yellishetty and Professor David Whittle from Monash University.
?We also thank SPP ( Ben A. ) for completing a white paper on Education. This Paper is being released here for the first time at this conference.
?I am pleased to inform you that the AICC is talking with the WA Government about the planning of future delegations to foster commonality of interest – the India-Australia relationship has a great future.
