The Ausso leadership Academy Course structure

The biggest differentiation advantage of Silicon Valley is the pervasive matured entrepreneurial mentorship culture. This is the inspiration for the Ausso Leadership Academy.

The course structure of the Ausso Leadership Academy has been designed to enable practical and experiential learning with the Champions of Entrepreneurship coming to directly present their business case studies for personal discussion and deep insight.

The engagement is a three-week immersion program and a one-week optional module at the end.

The first week which will be delivered by GP Strategies of UK will use the tested McKinneyRogers methodology to deliver the theory of setting effective direction, provide practical advice and coaching to generate a Vision, Purpose, Strategic Direction and Operational Plan. It will deliver the theory of aligning and cascading the operational plan, provide practical advice and coach the entrepreneurs to generate an annual Mission Plan then cascade it to drive alignment, clarity and focus.

The second and third weeks will be headlined by an encounter with a champion of entrepreneurship during the first half of each day. Volunteering champions include; Tony Elumelu, Aig Imoukhuede, Austin Avuru, Ernest Ndukwe, Ndidi Nwuneli, Frank Aigbogun, Udeme Ufot and Seyi Bickerseth amongst a host of others.

This will be followed by two sessions each day from the faculty of resident entrepreneurs covering exercises in business growth and transformation dynamics, surmounting the challenge of disruption, understanding and applying business strategy and applying the balanced scorecard; all designed to enable entrepreneurs to define their business models using Alexander Osterwalder’s Business Model Generation Methodology.

The second half of the day will feature prominent domain experts such as Doyin Odunfa, Deji Ishmael, Yinka David-West, Bayo Adekanmbi, Doyin Salami and Oscar Onyema among many others who will expose the entrepreneurs to international standard certification, project management skills, systematic decision making, gaining competitive advantage using big data and artificial intelligence systems, understanding the macroeconomic environment and its impact on business plans and planning for a liquidity event.

During the final week, entrepreneurs will have a one-on-one mentorship with any of the champions, faculty or domain experts, describing the friction points in their businesses and gaining insights from an experienced and objective third party who will also provide guidance in fine-tuning strategy.

To cap it all, there will be an opportunity for entrepreneurs seeking growth capital to pitch their ideas to the Ausso Leadership Academy’s Investment Partners who will shortlist qualifying candidates for the consideration of capital injection.

We believe that at the end of the program, the entrepreneurs will be empowered with the strategy, leadership and business management skills needed for the growth and development of their businesses by applying new knowledge to a constantly changing business environment characterized by the disruption.
