AusIMM seeking new staff at start of 2025

AusIMM has recently advertised (January 2025) for 4 new staff members, wherein the following personal comments (italics) reflect on the growth in administrative overheads, while other comments herein may warrant further socialization / consideration by the AusIMM Management Team to the members.

1.???? Government and Stakeholder Relations Manager [Role can be located in SA or NSW]

Interesting in that I am not aware of an AusIMM office in SA or NSW, though happy to see decentralization.

Key responsibilities and activities include:

·?????? Drive strategic stakeholder engagement with government and key industry partners.

·?????? Provide advocacy within Government and Industry for AusIMM’s Diversity & Inclusion, Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

This would seem to be a change in policy, wherein past AusIMM statements noted that the AusIMM was not a government lobby group.

·?????? Influence and work with AusIMM teams and volunteers to build the reach and profile of AusIMM membership with a global audience of mining professionals and stakeholders.

Good to see the scope of work includes supporting the broader members.

2.???? Marketing Manager [Carlton, Vic]

Key responsibilities and activities include:

·?????? Lead a small team to develop and execution of innovative marketing strategies that elevate our brand, drive conference and event registrations, generate leads, and grow membership.

·?????? Analyse performance metrics and gain insights to refine strategies and maximise campaign effectiveness.

Good to see AMT strengthening analysis of performance metrics & look forward to COI’s having access to such metrics.

?

3.???? ESG Advisor [Brisbane of Perth]

Key responsibilities and activities include:

·?????? Supporting and implementing AusIMM ESG Strategy to build our advocacy focus and a more progressive industry.

·?????? Identify, develop and deliver ESG education and/or training partners and initiatives to AusIMM members and the mining industry

Hope similar specialized advisors can be appointed for Geoscience, Metallurgy, Mining and such.

?

4.???? Industry Relationships and Partnerships Manager [Queensland & East Coast?]

Key responsibilities and activities include:

·?????? Build long term strategic relationships with industry partners to grow AusIMM’s reach and relevance and achieve set financial targets. (Key stakeholder groups include industry, government, universities, and other kindred bodies).

·?????? Define and execute on a comprehensive partnership strategy for the QLD market that will drive ongoing revenue growth and expand our partner base.
