In 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto introduced the world to Bitcoin, a vision that embodied the ultimate expression of freedom—a decentralized currency beyond the reach of any central authority.

This marked the dawn of a new era, where individuals could reclaim control over their financial destinies.

As the years passed, we witnessed the exponential growth of this freedom, with blockchain technology pushing the boundaries of what was possible. Yet, as with all revolutions, there comes a time when freedom meets regulation—a necessary equilibrium to ensure stability and trust within the system.

Today, as we gather here at the STO SUMMIT 2024 in Tokyo, we stand at the crossroads of freedom and regulation.

Security Tokens embody this delicate balance—bridging the gap between the decentralized ideals of Satoshi and the necessary structures that sustain and protect our markets.

This is the dialectic of blockchain—a dynamic tension between freedom and regulation, where both forces coexist to drive innovation and trust in our ever-evolving digital world.
