Asia Blockchain Summit 2024

This past week at the Asia Blockchain Summit was full of events and connections. Elise, our Growth Associate, had a good time exploring the main venue and attending some really interesting side events. She also filmed a few interviews with key players in the industry, so stay tuned for the result. It was an inspiring week in Taipei, and we can't wait to see what’s next!

Blockchain Summit LatAm & RWAs Get Real Side-Event?

During the past month, our tech team had the pleasure of attending the Blockchain Summit LatAm in Bogotá, where we also hosted our signature event: "RWAs Get Real," marking its debut in Latin America. The event provided a valuable platform to discuss the growing interest in RWA tokenization in the region. Hosting this event was a milestone for our expansion into new markets.

Several key topics were discussed, shedding light on the future of Web3 and tokenization but one thing was clear: nearly anything can be tokenized.?

Anastasia, our Head of Growth, recently participated in the “RWA Vault #3: Unlocking $10 Trillion in Liquidity by 2030” X Space hosted by Web3m, alongside Horizon Protocol and LayerLabs. The discussion centered on the growing market for Real World Asset tokenization, exploring the regulatory challenges that must be overcome to support this market's expansion. Topics included the importance of on-chain rights enforcement, issuance processes, and the verifiability of tokenized assets.

Defactor X Space: “The Tokenization of Commodities Unlocked”?

In our recent X Space titled "The Tokenization of Commodities Unlocked," hosted by Anastasia, Head of Growth, in collaboration with LandX and Stobox, we delved into the transformative potential of tokenization in the agricultural sector. As the demand for agricultural investments grows within the Web3 world, these assets remain undervalued and often illiquid. Tokenization offers a solution by making these commodities more accessible, for example in regions facing import/export restrictions or trade disadvantages.
