I am glad to be part of this extraordinary community of the aviation industry and proud to be able to contribute to its’ growth together with the FL Technics colleagues, 2000+ passionate professionals in our global independent MRO group.??
The end of this summer marks new beginnings for us and, in a way, the industry itself, thus I would like to share some personal thoughts on the season and highlight the prospects not to miss in the near future.?
Before jumping into the latest projects, I would like to take this opportunity and introduce (or to remind) you about the core business solutions FL Technics provides. Each one of them has own niche with recent developments and I would be happy to provide more details on them as well as connect with the key management of respective teams, including:?
And now on to the recent developments that will expand the capacity and potential of FL Technics in all above-listed business areas – the new MRO hubs in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and Bali, Indonesia.?
You will find the full press releases below. In the meantime, I would like to share some common aspects between the two projects. Despite completely different continents there are similarities in the cases:?
Demand for MRO services for neighboring regions.??
Take the Americas as an example - only the largest network operators have measurable internal capabilities (Delta, United, American) and even they still outsource 20-50% of their narrow-body airframe maintenance. Alongside the projected growth of fleets, high costs of labor (especially in North America), and limited slots availability, Central America will become an attractive MRO hub with balanced cost-to-efficiency services. In a comparable manner this applies to Indonesia – where we have the Australia with similar challenges and opportunities as North America, and for the same reasons, airlines, and lessors from Australasia will be servicing the fleets in more cost-efficient MRO hubs, such as Bali.?
Potential of investing in new aviation experts.??
Another universal challenge in the aviation industry (especially in the post-COVID period) is the shortage of people with the right skills and certifications. At this point, we have reached the critical time in the aviation industry, when it is crucial to invest in people to develop the pool of experts necessary to maintain and support growing fleets in major markets. Not to mention the growing share of new generation aircraft, that requires certain skillsets and knowledge to keep them airworthy. This is the area FL Technics is committed to by leveraging global expertise to train employees, develop studies and vocational courses with various institutions, as well as investing in people and covering the costs of examination and certifications.?
Necessity to fill the gaps in supply chains.?
The aviation industry at a global scale is facing many challenges in the supply chain – from aircraft production to OEM struggles and components deliveries. These challenges results in distorted demand of solutions, where it is not that important how large your business is, but rather how flexible you are to deliver tailored solutions to ensure efficient TAT and operations. Here FL Technics steps in with a vast network of partners and providers, including in-house capabilities, such as a quick-turn engine repair shop or integrated logistics solutions (air, land, sea). Existing network and capacity will play a crucial role in developing highly effective MRO hubs both in Punta Cana and Bali.?
These assumptions and FL Technics background, including group’s financial investments, together with the right local partners, such as PT Angkasa Pura Properti and Grupo Puntacana , will create solid foundation for sustainable business development in both continents.?

Announcements
New Hangar in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic!
We are all set to establish a new 20 000 sq. m. MRO hangar in Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), the second-busiest airport in the #Caribbean!
The project will be developed together with Grupo Puntacana, a group renowned for its’ sustainable and cross-industry business developments. Once the first stage of the development is finished, facilities will include 5 bays for base maintenance operations including a complex of full-fledged supporting shops. Including the hangar and bays facility the total area of the new infrastructure will be 52,000 sq. m. ?
The construction process will take up to two years and marks FL Technics' commitment to developing the existing global independent #MRO network, including current base maintenance hangars in Lithuania (Vilnius and Kaunas International Airports), the United Kingdom (London, Stansted International Airport), Scotland (Prestwick International Airport), and Indonesia (Jakarta International Airport).Major #milestone reached and now new #opportunities opens for FL Technics team and our partners in the region!

New Hangar in Bali, Indonesia!
Global independent MRO means we are committed to developing sustainable business in every continent. Thus, we are proud to announce the recent developments in Asia-Pacific, where our team signed an agreement to develop a new MRO hub in #Bali!
The project will be delivered together with PT Angkasa Pura Properti and PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), as we start the development of a 17,000 sq. m. aircraft MRO hub, the first at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS).?
FL Technics is set to invest US$25 million in the initial stage to undertake an MRO construction and development project set to be finished in a year. This is not only a strategic milestone for our group, but also a symbol of our commitment to flourishing our business operations, regardless of the ambitious expansion plans in new markets!

New UK CAA approval for Engine Services
FL Technics has achieved a new milestone by securing certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of the United Kingdom (UK CAA) to extend its Part-145 maintenance capabilities to the CFM56 family of engines.
This accomplishment complements FL Technics' existing approvals from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for engine repairs conducted at its facility in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Valerij Deveikis, CEO of FL Technics Engine Services, highlighted the importance of this achievement, “Our team is focused on sustainable business development, which requires consistency in operations as well as improvement, thus I trust that this new certification by the UK CAA will strengthen FL Technics Engine Services’ position in the market. Together with the whole FL Technics group, we are now ready to provide even more tailored and efficient engine solutions in our quick-turn engine shop in Kaunas, Lithuania.”

Line Maintenance
FL Technics has been selected as the trusted provider of Line maintenance services for Etihad Airlines' operations in Lahore, Pakistan.
This maintenance contract covers a diverse fleet of aircraft types, including the Boeing 777 (B777), Boeing 787 (B787), and Airbus A320 (A320).
FL Technics conducts Transit checks, which are essential routine inspections carried out between flights. As each aircraft arrives at Lahore airport for its scheduled departure, the skilled maintenance team from FL Technics springs into action.

FL Technics Engineering just took a step to expand the capacity of its technical service provision area. FL Technics will now house Engineering service provision in Bangkok, Thailand. Establishing a foothold in close proximity to lessors‘ activity within Asia region – FL Technics opts to provide better delivery/ redelivery/ pre-purchase inspections, records management, maintenance supervisions, transit & storage CAMO, partial and full engineering services. All it is covered by FL Technics EASA Part-CAMO, 2REG, Cayman Island CAA approvals and 30 years of experience.
As we cross continents, we bring European expertise to Asia, further enhancing our ability to provide tailored services and technical excellence to clients worldwide. Complementing our robust team of engineering professionals in Europe, this expansion amplifies our capability to serve you with even greater efficiency and with on-site capacity in Asia.
We would be happy to add new aircraft to our existing CAMO, which already supports up to 150 aircraft and provide engineering services such as:- Delivery and redelivery inspections on behalf of lessors and airlines.- Temporary CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization) services for lessors during aircraft transitions.- Full CAMO services for airlines using AMOS or OASES software, ensuring meticulous oversight of airworthiness compliance.
