As the warm days of summer come and go, it's hard to believe how quickly time is passing by. The chatter in the office and the constant flurry of tasks remind us of the hustle and bustle that defines summer. Our days seem to be flying by, filled with projects, deadlines, and to-do lists that never seem to end.?

When you find yourself in this whirlwind of activity, it's important to take a moment to pause and enjoy the good things that summer brings. It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind, but it's equally important to find moments of happiness amidst the chaos.?

Here are a few ways to slow down and enjoy the present:

  1. Enjoy Your Lunch Break: Instead of eating lunch at your desk, why not step outside and enjoy your meal in nature? A short walk or a picnic in a nearby park can do wonders for your mood and productivity.
  2. Mindful Moments: Add some moments of mindfulness into your day. Whether it's a deep breath before a meeting, a few minutes of meditation, or a tasty cup of coffee, these little breaks can help you recenter and refocus.
  3. Weekend Getaways: Make the most of your weekends by planning a little getaway! A day trip to a nearby town or a relaxing staycation can help you recharge and create great memories.
  4. Unplug and Unwind: Set boundaries for work-related activities during your non-working hours. Disconnect and spend quality time with loved ones or engage in activities that bring you joy.
  5. Celebrate Achievements: It's important to celebrate your accomplishments. Take a moment to acknowledge your achievements, both big and small, and treat yourself to something special.

As we head towards the end of summer, let's remember that the journey is just as important as the destination. While our to-do lists may seem endless, taking time to appreciate the beauty around us and the moments we share with colleagues and friends can add a touch of magic to our days. Embrace the whirlwind with open arms, but remember to slow down, take a deep breath, and enjoy the experience!

Symplicity On The Road

Once again, Symplicity leadership has been on the road learning from and interacting with the best in the business. President and CEO Catherine Behrenbrinker and VP of Customer Experience Paul Nagel attended NICE Interaction's "CX and the City" event in New York, where they heard from industry leaders and discussed the vision of where CX is headed in the future!

Paul has also recently attended the AMP'd CX event in Austin, Texas and is gaining some great insight at the AMP'd Cloud event in Park City, Utah as we speak!

When not traveling to New York City or Chicago for conferences and networking, Catherine has been supporting the local community. She recently spent the day at Watermark Country Club for the Heart of West Michigan United Way "Tee It Up For Success" event. Symplicity Communications was one of the sponsors for the event that helps fund programs that focus on teaching practical job skills, credentialing, housing, access to food, and mental health support.

WBENC Re-Certification

Recently, Symplicity Communications earned its re-certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC Certification is the gold standard for women-owned business certification in the United States.

By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs, which in turn empowers women as leaders and brings about a more diverse, balanced, and sustainable economy.

“I’m incredibly proud to be certified 100% Women-Owned business!” said Catherine Behrenbrinker, President and CEO of Symplicity Communications, Inc. “Achieving WBENC certification in 2021 was a 12-year goal. Continuing to recertify every year is key to building our Government Contracting Practice. Having a focus on working with government entities isn’t easy, but the satisfaction from hard work and a job well done is priceless.”
