August Newsletter
Welcome to the latest edition of the monthly Paylink newsletter where you can keep up-to-date with the latest news from our leadership team, our partners and much more.?
Here's a quick-fire overview of our activity in August:
Two members of our senior team have been shortlisted for the Women in Credit Awards.
Becky McClory MSyl , our Head of Information Security, and Jill Sparks, our Payment Services Director, were both recognised as finalists for this year's ceremony.
Becky, our first nominee, is a deserving finalist in the 'Rising Star of the Year' category. This accolade is dedicated to women who have made a substantial impact within their organisations in less than five years in the industry.
Our second nominee, Jill Sparks, is a finalist in the 'Transformation of the Year' award. This category celebrates women who have led transformative changes within their firms, resulting in significant operational improvements.
We’ve made it a priority to educate ourselves and understand best practice when it comes to accessibility guidelines by using online resources and documentation, such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
The WCAG guidelines provided a solid foundation for understanding accessibility principles and how to apply them in the design and development of Embark and our other products and applications.
We’ve also collaborated with clients to provide a more accessible application.

We're taking our support for Computer Aid International to new heights tomorrow by setting off on a collective challenge: walking 5 million steps as a small team.
In a fun and fittingly named initiative - 'Steptember' – we’ll be embarking on a mission to walk an impressive 2,200 miles throughout the month. To put it into perspective, that's equivalent to strolling from our offices in Grantham to the heart of Northern Africa.
We’ll be raising funds for Computer Aid, which provides access and education to technology to create better learning environments across more than 100 countries.
And Joe Clarke, our Head of Operations, will also be competing in the #GreatNorthRun in aid of the Matt Hampson Foundation next month.
The Matt Hampson Foundation inspires and supports young people seriously injured through sport. Through expert physiotherapy, specialist personal training, support, mentoring and advice, the Foundation helps people with life-changing injuries to get busy living again.
