August Newsletter

Dear Subscriber,

We hope this edition of the newsletter finds you well and you have enjoyed the wide range of announcements and resources that have been added into the WWPIS community over the last few weeks.

Here in the UK sporting clubs and schools are enjoying some breaks in their schedule with many already looking forward to the start of the new school and sporting? year in September.

Bookings for live and virtual sessions in September have been in huge demand with very few slots now remaining.

The last month saw us working with a number of organisations including the Football Association, Sailing Australia, Badminton England and Bath Rugby to name but a few. There has been a nice mixture of virtual and face to face sessions with the latter certainly increasing in popularity over the last few months.

Following the release of a promotional video via British Gymnastics about our work, the demand for our services continue to grow in the sport with more clubs signing up to annual packages.

Over the last six months we have been planning and designing a range of online learning courses with etrainu, a leading Elearning specialist and we are thrilled to have released the first of these courses for coaches.

Membership of the new look WWPIS platform is proving popular and we have had some wonderful feedback from organisations, coaches and parents who are enjoying the feel and variety of the content.

We have lined up an incredible range of contributors to support the membership platform and they have been tasked with providing the most useful and practical resources possible.

The Parents in Sport podcast this month saw us joined by High Performance Consultant, Sports Physiotherapist and Former International Gymnast Rachel Vickery to discuss high performance, character development and empowering self-advocacy in high performing young athletes.

You can find out more about a number of these items in this month’s newsletter.

A recent club visit to South Essex Gymnastics Club was followed by a British Gymnastics film crew who were attempting to capture the work that we are currently doing within the sport.

A range of interviews were carried out with club staff, coaches, parents and gymnasts who all acknowledged the importance of us all working together effectively to help young gymnasts fulfil their potential both in and out of sport.

The final product was a wonderful short video that has already been enjoyed by thousands of people.
