August Digest

Welcome to the August edition of the Opportunities and Fellowship column! July wasn't probably the easiest of months for me, maybe because I had to move from the cold calm city of Abuja to the chaotic and stressful bustle of Lagos. Relocating wasn't easy, but thanks to my cousins, I am getting the hang of it.
August is already promising, especially with the fantastic news from two friends. One received a fully funded PhD scholarship straight from their BSc, and another secured a job at PwC. This month truly promises unending opportunities.
I know many of us are feeling the weight of the economic challenges, especially with the ongoing "End Bad Governance" protests in Nigeria. The struggle is real, and I feel it too. But it's also why Conspro Digest exists—to share opportunities that can make a difference. The protests have sparked significant strides, including new roles at NNPC and the Youth Investment Fund for self-employed individuals and startups.
So, let's bridge the gap between youths and opportunities together and work towards reducing unemployment. As we dive into the next section, I hope you find inspiration and opportunities that resonate with you.
