The August CATCH-up ??
Hi CATCH friends,
Whitney here. I hope you’ve had a fantastic summer! We’ve kept extra busy working towards our mission of making homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring throughout the Treasure Valley while also supporting families in our program as they prepare for the new academic year.
Enjoy this brief update with ways you can help us continue to end homelessness for families and individuals like Alicia and her two daughters.
PS: sign up for our monthly newsletter here for updates and client stories straight to your inbox!
Alicia and her two daughters experienced homelessness for three years before being housed with CATCH. She was employed the entire time they experienced homelessness but it wasn’t enough for rent.
Today, Alicia is drug free, has built a savings, and has passed her 4-year work anniversary. She pays for the entirety of her rent.

OCTOBER 5: CATCH THE FLAVOR
Mark your calendars and join us for our 6th annual storytelling dinner fundraiser aimed at ending homelessness in the Treasure Valley!
A client housed with CATCH will share their personal journey and local housing experts will explain the state of homelessness and ways to help.
“My son and I were living in a tent behind Winco,” said last year’s speaker and client housed with CATCH. “Now I have a great job and we feel more secure inside and outside of our apartment.”
Tickets for CATCH the Flavor will go on sale next month.
Be checking your email, our website, and social media for more information!

RECAP: ALIVE AFTER 5
We enjoyed participating in Downtown Boise Association’s Alive After 5 Free Summer Concert Series!
A huge thank you to all our individual and group volunteers, including Horizon Credit Union, Boise Centennial Rotary Club, Boise Regional Realtors, First Presbyterian Church, Jamie Matzdorff Realty, Minegar Gamble Real Estate, ICCU, McAlvain, FreeForm, Boise Cascade, and more! Together, we informed our neighbors about local housing resources and raised more than $6,700 to end homelessness for individuals and families here in the Treasure Valley.
The UCSF Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative (BHHI) has released the largest representative study of homelessness in the United States since the mid-1990s, providing a comprehensive look at the causes and consequences of homelessness and recommending policy changes to shape programs in response.
Listen to The Erza Klein Show podcast - a discussion surrounding the report.
Sustain CATCH’s programs and help our neighbors experiencing homelessness 12 months of the year by joining our CATCH 22 Monthly Giving Program.
Recurring gifts allow us to plan ahead and help more families!
As always, don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, ideas, or you just want to chat! I’d love to hear from you. You can join our newsletter here and email me at [email protected]
With gratitude,
Whitney
