Oliver Ledgard , the EMEA Government and Aviation Director of Zebra Technologies sat down with Security Middle East magazine to explore the role of security within asset management technology and the defence sector in the region.

Zebra Technologies is a leader in mobile computing, asset management, mobile and industrial print, with recent acquisitions around robotics. The company is a market leader in Android as well, having acquired a company named Explore Technologies enabling Zebra Technologies to utilise its Windows OS offering in a rugged tablet space.

Prominent within the Middle Eastern Government space, the mobile computing provider is seeing significant pockets of areas for growth which call for investment.

Ledgard explained: “Because we see a lot of our experience within those other verticals, we can leverage and really demonstrate to our government customers how they can drive efficiency within their separate workflows, whether it be from a citation, whether it be from RFID tracking within large locations, such as defence, or with it simply improving operations for emergency services like the front line responders.”
