IoT technologies will begin favouring IPv6-first going forward, but what new factors do we need to be aware of? In this talk, Sam will go through some IPv6 fundamentals to frame the opportunity, followed by a dive into the considerations and potential challenges which security practitioners need to keep in mind when developing IPv6 IoT solutions.
Kottaram and Vaidy will also join us from Chennai to present their IoT smart city lab environment and speak about how this is useful for learning, research and product development. The 2024 IoTSF annual conference takes place at London's IET on Wednesday 23rd October. We've got plenty in store for this, the 10th edition of the world’s longest-running conference dedicated to IoT cybersecurity. Flying in from Melbourne, Matt Tett of IoT Security Mark will show us 'Key lessons and takeaways from IoT cybersecurity standards, legislation, product certifications and cybersecurity labelling schemes'. 'Evolving threats and evolving defenses for XIoT in critical infrastructure' will be presented by qomodo's?Toby Wilmington. Also confirmed is?Apostol Vassilev of NIST who'll be talking about?'AI risks and rewards: Calculus for the future'. IoTSF Bangalore meetup: Future proofing industrial IoT security
The latest IoTSF Bangalore event was held on Saturday 27th June, it focused on ‘Future proofing industrial IoT security’. This meetup, sponsored by Honeywell, brought together passionate IoT security enthusiasts and industry experts at the Honeywell Bangalore campus. Bangalore leads the world in the number of IoT security experts and practitioners (followed closely by San Francisco).? The theme 'Future proofing industrial IoT security' brought together passionate IoT security enthusiasts and industry experts to discuss and innovate on securing the future of industrial IoT. A big thank you to Honeywell, the speakers and the IoTSF Bangalore organisers Amitesh Kumar, Disha Rajkumar, Vinay R, Vivek Mathur and Vinod Kumar Galla. Thanks also to the Honeywell volunteers including Amrrith M and all attendees for making this event memorable and impactful.? IoTSF Amsterdam's first meetup is set for Thursday 29th August 2024.? Featuring a talk by Jan Albert Jager, the event will take place at Campus The Hague Security Delta (HSD). Jan's topic will be 'How to test firmware for fault injection vulnerabilities'. It will explore the threat of fault injection for firmware. ?
