Upcoming events and webinars

We've been blown away by the interest in?our Australian Renewable Heat Conference ?and are getting seriously excited for it. The conference takes place at the State Library of New South Wales on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 September 2024 and places are already filling up.

The speaker line-up is close to completion with a focus on energy end-users ready to share their experiences implementing electrified, biogas and biomass heat technologies. These are unmissable insights for any end-user looking to transition to renewable heat.

A2EP supports the roadmap for heat pump hot water systems in Australia

We were pleased to support the development of the roadmap for heat pump hot water systems in Australia by the Energy Efficiency Council with funding from?the New South Wales Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water and Solar Victoria within the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.?Read the roadmap

Grants & funding news

• Trailblazer Recycling and Clean Energy (TRaCE) is calling for?expressions ? of interest?for?up to?$14 million ?in funding to commercialise recycling and clean energy technologies through its Lab to Market Fund. This initiative provides?UNSW research teams?and?industry partners?with grant funding and extensive commercialisation support to co-design and deliver market-ready solutions.? ?
• The successful applicants for the second round of the Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Enterprises have been announced. 1,700 small and medium businesses with $41.2 million in grants. See the list of successful applicants here.

Industry news and reports

• The NSW Government has released a discussion paper and opened consultation on the development of a renewable fuels strategy for the state which covers biogas and biomethane, biodiesel and renewable diesel, methanol, sustainable aviation fuel and green hydrogen. Feedback is due?by?5pm AEST?on?30 August 2024. ?
• The Federal Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is?inviting feedback on the National Energy Workforce Strategy (NEWS).?Submissions are?due by 31 August 2024. ?
• The presentations from the recent High-temperature Heat Pump Symposium in Denmark are now available to view online.
