August 2024: A month full of mobility
The August newsletter is full of news and one of the main topics is our commitment to sustainable mobility ????!
We tell you that we are going to build and operate the SR400 in Atlanta, that Abertis has won a new concession in Chile and that we have continued to make progress in zero-emission mobility through Glydcars with a new project in the United States led by Iridium Concesiones de Infraestructuras, S.A. and Flatiron Construction .
But that's not all! We also have news on energy transition and healthcare. Here we go ??!
ACS Group to build and operate Atlanta's SR400
Together with Acciona and Meridiam, ACS Group has been awarded a contract to finance, build and operate the SR400 Express Lane project of more than 25 controlled access lanes in Atlanta. The project has a construction value of more than 4.2 billion euros.?
This achievement confirms ACS Group's leadership in the transformation of transportation infrastructures to achieve a more connected and sustainable future. It is also the first step in the development of a close and lasting relationship with the Atlanta community.
Our updated history at a click
We invite you to watch this video which tells the story of the ACS Group from our beginnings to becoming one of the largest construction companies in the world, with the recent acquisition of Dornan and the merger between Flatiron, Dragados USA and Dragados Canada.
In short, behind every great project there is a great story. And ours is much longer than you might imagine.
As a global group, we are made up of several leading companies in their sectors, which allows us to take on large-scale projects with a comprehensive vision. But we understand that sometimes it is difficult to know which companies are part of ACS, what our origins are or which projects bear our signature.
Discover who we are, how we work and what we do to continue leading the sector.
Iridium and Flatiron transform zero emission mobility
The ACS Group continues to lead the way into the future. Through ACS Infra (IRIDIUM) and Flatiron-Dragados, we have been selected by ATL Airport Community Improvement Districts (AACIDs) to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the innovative Automated Transit Network (ATN) Project in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
This pilot project, located in one of the fastest growing regions in the U.S., will seamlessly connect the ATL SkyTrain to the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) using autonomous personal electric vehicles (Glydcars). The initiative will not only provide sustainable mobility for residents and tourists, but will also be the foundation for the future expansion of the 20+ mile ATN network throughout south Atlanta.
