Gallup has calculated that 62% of the worldwide workforce is not engaged in their positions, with another 15% being "actively disengaged. (State of the Global Workplace )

The share of small firms that report jobs are ‘not able to be filled right now’ stood at 38% in July…well above the July 2009-January 2020 average of 23%. This share is expected to remain elevated due to an aging workforce, labor hoarding, and talent shortages. (The Conference Board )
