Welcome to our August newsletter! This month, we’ve embraced the Olympic spirit, showcased our innovations at two major exhibitions — the Vietnam Manufacturing Expo and SPIE Optics & Photonics 2024 — celebrated the 30th work anniversaries of three dedicated team members, and bid a fond farewell to our 2023/24 placement students. Going for Gold ??
As the world celebrates the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, Taylor Hobson has been getting into the spirit!
To kick things off, we recreated the iconic Olympic rings using five roundness analyses from our measuring instruments — a feat made possible by the flexibility of our Metrology 4.0 software, which allows users to create their own documents with complete freedom.
As the Games got underway, we began to wonder: if metrology were an Olympic sport, which gold medals would Taylor Hobson be taking home?

Exhibitions Recap
This August, we showcased our latest innovations at two major exhibitions! At the Vietnam Manufacturing Expo, we introduced attendees to our advanced precision measurement systems, including our roundness measuring instruments and the Form Talysurf? Intra.
Meanwhile, at SPIE Optics & Photonics 2024 in San Diego, CA, we presented our comprehensive solutions for non-contact metrology, featuring products like the LUPHOScan, Form Talysurf? PGI Optics, and the Ultra Autocollimator. It was fantastic to connect with so many of you and share our passion for excellence in metrology!
In September, we will be attending the AMB in Germany and IMTS 2024 in the US. We hope to see you there!
Celebrating Milestones and New Beginnings
August marked the 30th work anniversary of three for three of our team members — Chris, Jamie, and Mark. From apprentices to key leaders, their careers have spanned continents and countless innovations. A heartfelt thank you to each of them for their hard work, loyalty, and dedication over the past three decades! Here’s to many more years of success together ??
We also bid a fond farewell to our 2023/24 placement students. Their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm over the past year have been truly inspiring. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours and look forward to seeing the great things they will achieve!
