Cause UK Public Relations
Top public relations firm for businesses and good causes. B Corp certified.
It's been a busy summer for Cause UK. We have scheduled concerts, events, and supported charities and businesses with compelling PR and communication campaigns. You can find all our latest client news, here News | Cause UK
Some highlights include managing the media launch for the Wesley Centre in Malton which has been successful in securing an incredible £370,000 from the North Yorkshire Council Shared Prosperity Fund. The money will be used to transform the historic grade II listed chapel into a 600 seater venue and community hub. Congratulations to Paul Emberley and the volunteer team.
We have also been commissioned to produce a Sky Arts film this September for Leeds 2023. More news to follow on this in the Autumn. Our ten minute film will be entitled 'Working Classical Heroes' and includes an original score by composer Ben Crick from the Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra.
Director of Cause UK, Ann Chadwick has been busy representing the Ilkley Literature Festival as it celebrates its 50th anniversary, securing author interviews, features and broadcast TV and radio.
Her fellow Director, Clair has started volunteering as a trustee of the Harrogate Homeless Project and looks forward to supporting the charity with governance, marketing and communication expertise.
We are in the process of getting B Corps registration. B Corps, short for "Benefit Corporations," are a type of for-profit companies that are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on society, the environment, and their stakeholders. B Corps are distinct from traditional corporations as they have a social and environmental mission embedded in their business model.

To become a certified B Corp, companies must undergo a rigorous assessment of their social and environmental performance, governance, and transparency. The assessment evaluates various aspects of a company's operations, including its impact on employees, customers, community, and the environment. B Corps are held to high standards of accountability and must balance their profit-driven goals with their commitment to creating a positive impact.
By voluntarily meeting these rigorous standards, B Corps demonstrate their commitment to using business as a force for good. They aim to create value not only for their shareholders but also for society and the planet. B Corps have gained recognition as a growing global movement of businesses striving to redefine success in the business world by prioritizing social and environmental responsibility alongside financial performance.
We hope to provide an update on our B Corps status in September.
