Author Alerts Takes the Guesswork Out of Searching for New Releases

Get notified by text or email when new books by your favorite authors arrive!

• The Author Alerts service allows you to get automatic notifications whenever your favorite authors or actors have a new item added to our MPHPL collection.
• You can create an account and sign up to get as many alerts as you'd like - there is no limit. Choose the format(s) you prefer such as Book, eBook, eAudiobook, Large Print, etc. *Multiple formats can be selected.
• Discover new authors by reading others’ reviews.
• Author Alerts is a free service provided to all MPHPL cardholders.

Return your MPHPL Summer Reading Challenge card by?Saturday, August?5 to receive a FREE new book!?

• Challenge cards are available by visiting the?MPHPL website?or at any MPHPL service desk.?
• All ages can take part.?
• Once you have completed your card, turn it in at the Bittersweet Branch or the Mishawaka Library to claim your new book!?
• Turning in your completed card also qualifies you for an automatic entry into the MPHPL Summer Reading Challenge end-of-summer prize drawing.?

Have Some Fun at the MPHPL K-12 Back-to-School Bash?

The MPHPL Back-to-School Bash will get K-12 students excited for the?quickly approaching school year!?

• The Back-to-School Bash is Saturday, August 5.
• Choose to attend the?10:30-11:30 a.m. Bittersweet Branch Back-to-School Bash?or the?2-3 p.m. Back-to-School Bash at the downtown Mishawaka Library.
• Children entering kindergarten to 12th grade are welcome to decorate a pencil, folder, notebook and create a pencil bag. Plus, student guests can test their minds in our MPHPL school-themed escape room.
• Adult caregivers must remain in the library for participants entering grades K-5.
• Registration is required?and space is limited.
• To reserve your child’s or children’s spot(s), visit the Bittersweet Branch or Mishawaka Library event links above.

Enjoy Crafting and Conversation at the Bittersweet Branch?

The August Make with Us program?will focus on?creating?handmade plant specimen frames.??

• Join us Monday, August 14, from 10:30-11:30?a.m. at Bittersweet.?
• Participants will leave with a?unique creation at the end of the program.?
• Registration is required.?

The 19th Annual River Bend Quilt Show Is Right around the Corner

The River Bend Quilt Guild is hosting the 19th annual three-day quilt show at the?Mishawaka Library beginning?Thursday, August 24.?

• The annual show helps promote the appreciation and preservation of quilts and encourages the art of quilting.?
• Dozens of quilts will be on display created by participants of all ages.?
• The public is invited to attend between the hours of 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to?6 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.?
• There is no charge to attend the show and everyone is welcome!?
