In partnership with the Cornell Entrepreneur Network, Upstate Venture Connect's Founder Fusion designed to connect founders, entrepreneurs, and investors in an engaging and dynamic setting. UCV is non-profit that provides thought-leadership, intelligence, and networking opportunities for founders building world class businesses in Upstate NY. The 2 day event will consist of a happy hour on Day 1 and networking reception on Day 2, which will consist of a fireside chat with Zach Shulman (Director of Entrepreneurship at Cornell ) and Niraj Shah & Steve Conine (Co-founders of Wayfair ).

Cornell Research & Innovation offers the virtual workshop series to faculty, staff, post-docs, graduate and undergraduate students, and alumni at Cornell University to explore the potential of launching a business grounded in research. The series is designed to explore the entrepreneurial journey from ideation to operation. A relevant Cornell faculty member or program lead will moderate each workshop and feature subject matter experts as presenters.

Open to Juniors, seniors, graduate students, and PhD candidates
eLab is a unique program designed to provide student entrepreneurs with the resources, mentorship, and support they need to turn their startup dreams into reality.
Students and student teams with business ideas are encouraged to apply for the fall semester to participate in programming focused on customer discovery, pitching, and business model development. Instructors will use a pre-determined rubric to evaluate teams’ performance and business models during the winter break and invite several teams to participate in the spring cohort. Students graduate with the experience, skills and connections to launch a successful company.??Participants earn 4.5 credits, pitch investors, receive funding, mentorship, and attend weekly classes & weekend boot camps.

The E-Team Program supports student ventures as you embark down the path you’re likely to take as an innovator and entrepreneur. We help you advance your invention through a powerful mix of up to $25,000 in non-dilutive grant funding, entrepreneurship training, mentorship by dedicated staff, national recognition, and networking with peers and industry experts.
Pioneer: the first stage of the E-Team Program. Through $5,000 in non-dilutive funding and an entrepreneurship training workshop designed to help you discover the best market for your invention, we kickstart your potential and outline the possible pathways for your invention.
Propel: Once you have successfully completed Pioneer and built a strong foundation for advancing your innovation, you’re eligible to level up and apply for Propel. Propel offers an additional $20,000 in non-dilutive funding and three months of training focused on supporting you as you build your business model canvas and make plans for testing your business hypotheses.

Cayuga Forum is a virtual, facilitated, peer-to-peer coaching and networking program exclusively for #Cornell #alumni. The program started in January 2022 and now includes 100+ members. The mission is simple: Connect Cornellians working in and around entrepreneurship in meaningful ways.
Program Elements:
?Monthly Pod Meetings: Connect with 8-12 fellow alumni for mutual support.
?Cross-Pod Meetings: Engage with guest speakers at monthly program-wide meetings, such as Cornell faculty, subject matter experts, and leadership coaches.

This program partners experienced entrepreneurs with engineering faculty, postdocs, and students who are interested in learning more about commercialization and entrepreneurship. BLP provides mentorship and venture creation support to Cornell student, alumni, faculty, or staff at any stage of their entrepreneurial journey.?Whether you are interested in learning more about the entrepreneurship community at Cornell, have an idea, or need help with later-stage startup challenges, BLP mentors are there to guide you. Meet with Josh Nelson, Director of the Pre-Seed and Seed Matching Fund at NY Ventures. This state venture capital arm actively looks to provide greater access to venture capital across NY State. If your company is HQed in NY State and raising a pre-seed or seed round (or plans to soon), I encourage you to check out the program.
