Audits for autumn. Are you taking stock this September?

Audits for autumn. Are you taking stock this September?

I've just been in sunny Colchester, running a training session on getting more engagement in Facebook groups. In this case, relating to losing weight and stopping smoking.

We were discussing topics for September and how it's a great time of year to take stock of the situation and get good habits in place. You've got a nice runway up to Christmas to get things fixed and sorted, after summer has thrown everything out of whack.

It could be why?there's a lot of interest in our digital marketing audit service?at Sookio 2.0.

Getting a proper evaluation of your social media, website or content marketing can not only flag up opportunities you might have missed, but put the brakes on before you waste precious time and money on things that are just never going to bring you value.

There was this scale-up I spoke to recently who were just about to invest in launching a podcast. But the company website barely worked. So you’d be putting a lot of effort into bringing people to a shop window that was a mess and with a front door that wouldn't open.

Sometimes you have a wealth of assets just sitting there that could be reworked into fresh social media and visual content. Or you’ve built up huge communities on Instagram; you could experiment with short-form video there rather than launch a whole new TikTok channel.

I can also advise on workflow and the best tools to?plan, create and publish, thus?reducing friction and saving time. Streamlining the underlying structure always supports the success of the?marketing activity happening above ground.

Oooh, it’s all very satisfying. Visit our audits page ?and book one?in for autumn.

Sookio Bootcamp is now a wrap!

I was proud to run our final Bootcamp week of remote work experience in August.

Across the five years, it's seen…

  • 32 team spotlights
  • 10 training sessions
  • 17 guest speakers
  • 41 creative challenges
  • 125+ attendees, dialling in from all over the place - from Cambridge to Leicester to Manchester to Brittany to Nigeria to Sierra Leone to Cairo...

Take a look at the first blog post published from this year’s cohort; thank you to Aman Dilhe for your analysis of the controversial Apple iPad Pro campaign (above). And of course to everyone who took part, from attendees to all our very special guests.

I’ll be back at Long Road Sixth Form College with Tariq Sadiq, MSc, RCDP in the autumn to do the annual marketing challenge, and while Bootcamp has come to an end, hopefully I'll be able to use my experience to advise on other programmes and initiatives.
