As part of the MBA program at the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, we were asked to keep a "Critical Reflection Journal" to summarize the priority lessons from the module. This entry is my personal favourite from my own journal, and I thought I would share it with you.

An Audience with Michael Conrad.
It’s hard to describe what it is like when you’re in the presence of authentic leadership. Perhaps the easiest way to understand what it feels like is to spend some time with Michael Conrad. Through stories of his own past, his thoughts on the present, and his theories about the future, we were given a glimpse into the life of a true Mad Man. He’s someone who has nothing to prove but who still gives – effortlessly and with no expectation – of himself, his heart, his mind and his soul.
At one moment, Michael told a story about his earlier years and showed a video of him singing at an agency event. To be honest, I’ve forgotten a bit of the detail, but it doesn’t matter. As Michael watched himself on the screen, I watched him. During that tiny moment, my mind raced, and I thought about life, love, success, challenges and being human. I cried and tried very hard not to let anyone in the class see … I love this man.
