Audemars Piguet's New Golden Age.

As a devoted watch enthusiast, my heart races with excitement over Audemars Piguet's latest achievements! Among others, (hello new Code 11.59, RO Offshore and John Mayer Perpetual Calendar… not to forget my favorite in a stunning camouflage ceramic prototype), the introduction of the breathtaking Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Openwork in Sand Gold is an audacious feat of innovation and design mastery. This shifting radiant gold owes its unique look by the replacement of silver in the alloy with palladium. I cannot wait to see one in the metal to witness the gold going from warm to silvery and this might well become my favorite kind of gold.

But the brilliance does not stop there! Audemars Piguet has unveiled an architectural jewel in Milan in its latest AP House. This immersive wonderland for watch aficionados marries Swiss precision with Italian flair. Designed in partnership between AP and renowned architects, Lissoni & Partners, the AP House Milano features a unique identity reflecting the brand's heritage while embracing Milan’s design flair (it is nestled in the famed Garage Traversi, itself an architectural landmark). Each AP House is unique and provides an experience in line with the DNA and spirit of its location but with the same passion and warmth for the guests. I had the pleasure of visiting the New York one in Meatpacking and was truly impressed by the genuine hospitality the team offered (Thank you Antoine Gournac-Poli and Arnaud Moulin !).

Whether admiring the scintillating Sand Gold Royal Oak or being transported in Milanese horological bliss, I can only applaud Audemars Piguet for continuing its legacy. I am in awe and look forward to what this year has to offer. Without a doubt more great timepieces from other Maisons will be revealed at the upcoming Watches & Wonders in Geneva and that is always one of my favorite times of year.
